This summer, Main Street in Downtown Salt Lake City will be closed to vehicles, and open to pedestrian traffic only, every Thursday-Saturday from noon-closing time.
Restaurants, bars, book stores and more are welcoming residents and visitors back to Main Street! Head down early in the evening to enjoy street art, entertainers, musicians & buskers with your family. Or head over for a much needed date night.
My husband and I's favorite thing to do on date night is find motorized scooters (Lime, Bird, Spin, etc.) on the street and (after cleaning the handles with wipes) ride around to find a new restaurant to try. We love travel by scooter because it's fun & you don't have to worry about finding parking downtown. However, if you do need to find parking, your best option is at City Creek Mall for free (for the first two hours).
